Weekly Racing Challenge FAQs
Q: So what is the Weekly Racing Challenge?
A: The Weekly Racing Challenge is a game that tests your Racing Knowledge on a weekly basis by giving you a chance each week to predict a perfect top 10. The object of the Weekly Racing Challenge is to try and select the perfect top 10 finish for any given race. Selecting a perfect top 10 finish means predicting the exact top 10 finish order of a particular race. Each week, participants strive for this goal. If you select a perfect top 10, you will be in the drawing for the Grand Prize and maybe a local prize, if stated or offered.
Q: How do I make my picks?
A: Once you register for the game, you will be given the opportunity to make your top 10 selections prior to the start of the next race. To make your picks, simply click on the Make Picks tab and follow the instructions.
Q: How do I place drivers on my Top 10 list?
A: Placing drivers in your Top 10 list is very simple. You will notice there is a Top 10 list and a Driver Pool. Your Top 10 list represents the way order in which the next race's drivers will finish. The Driver Pool is a list of all available drivers in the game. However, these drivers are not necessarily the drivers that are participating in the upcoming race. Once you have clicked on the Make Picks tab, drag the driver of your choice from the Driver Pool to one of the 10 rows on your Top 10 list. You can always re-order your drivers at anytime by dragging the driver in your Top 10 list and moving them to the desired row of your choice. The row numbers correspond to the place you think they will finish in the race for that week. Once you have the drivers in the order of your predicted finish for the upcoming race, simply click on the submit button and your picks are stored.
Q: When are the standings updated?
A: The standings are updated every Monday by Noon ET or earlier.
Q: What is the deadline for making selections?
A: The deadline for making selections is the start of the scheduled race for that week. For your convenience, we post a race schedule on the "schedule" sub navigation under the "Game Time" tab. We also place a countdown on the "make picks" page which displays the time remaining to finalize your selections before the race starts. Selecting close to the start of the race is risky and your picks will be not stored if they are finalized after the countdown ends.
Q: Who am I playing against?
A: Unlike most other league games where you're thrown into some random public group of people you don't know, you will be playing against people ONLY in your local area. You'll be competing with local celebrities for great prizes.
Q: What if miss the deadline for making my picks one week?
A: No problem. The worst case scenario is that your selections from the previous week will be used for the current week. If you are just registering for the game, you will need to select your top 10 for one race so we can carry-over your selections if you miss any other weeks. The National Prize goes to the highest single week score, so if you start making picks from the first week, you have 36 tries at getting the highest score or even better--that "perfect week".
Q: How do you win the game?
A: The top highest single week scores are posted in the Contest Leader's section. Participants are also ranked according to cumulative season points for informational purposes. However, the team with the highest single week score during the season wins the grand prize.
Q: Are tie-breakers factored into the standings page?
A: Yes. In the event of a tie between two (2) or more entries, the winning entry will be determined by the following tiebreakers, in order of listing:
Tiebreaker #1 Most Drivers In The Top 10, Tiebreaker #2 Most Correctly Predicted Exact Finish Drivers, Tiebreaker #3 Highest Exact Finish Driver ,
Tiebreaker #4 Random Drawing.
Q: What happens in the event of an injured driver?
A: The game is simple in this regard. You are selecting the Top 10 "Drivers" that will place in the upcoming race. You are not selecting their cars. On rare occasions, a substitute driver will drive for the regular driver. Some of these rare situations include: substituting a driver for a specific track type, a driver health problem, a driver suspension, etc. In order for you to earn points in this situation, you must have the substitute driver in your top 10, otherwise you will NOT be awarded any points.
Q: How does the scoring work?
A: We have posted the scoring chart in the rules and on it's own page called "scoring chart". Both of these pages can be found as sub navigation links on the "Support" tab.
Q: I keep seeing the login screen after each page. Why won't it keep me logged in?
